Brian, is there a drop in the top tube, or is that just the slope that your bike is on relative to the building. Looks like the latter?

Nice Bike :-)

I have a similar front end setup with the Hed extensions with the Vision base bar and brakes.

That is an amazing drop to have that many spacers. how big of a drop is ist currently and how does that compare to your softride?

18cm of drop. The softride was about 14cm.

Anyone want to trade a 40cm vision tech base bar for the 42cm one in the pic? It has 42 miles on it.

I have a Renn Disc and a Zipp Disc on the way. H3C front is the preferred wheel although my wife and i have an old Zipp 440 that is sick light and a 404 in the garage.

nice bike

nice saddle to bar drop

route those cables internally on your s-bends

put some bar tape on your bars

move steeper

and get rid of those spacers

whats up with the stones on the ground, are you in a barbeque pit

That is a SWEET bike. Nice race wheels too (zipp disc, H3C0)... Gosh, that's a big drop, especially if you didn't have the spacers....

Nothing like offering fit advice without actually seeing the rider on the bike. Your skills must be in high demand.

Bar tape, that thought never crossed my mind. As for the rocks, I live in the desert so no grass and I don't do yard work so I need low maintenance.

As for the position pic, I'll get a live shot while I'm on the road. No home decorating tips needed then. When I get the bike dialed in I'll tape those cables to the S bends.

Makes sence to me, just not the part about posting a pic in your house, I like those and the way people respond.

One quick question, would you or have you entertained the thought of bigger cranks in order to lower your seatpost and get lower on the front end, whats your thinking on that, good luck on your new bike.

Thats 18cm of drop, if I go any lower in the front end I'll have to stick a 650c rear wheel on in order to see in front of me. I'm plenty low as you will see once jonnyo gets back so we can go ride and he can shoot pics. Besides lower does not always mean faster.

Bigger cranks, you could eat dinner off my 12 in a year. I don't push big gears. If you have a pair of 177.5's hanging around send them, I'll try it.

"sold both of the softrides and now I ride a Roo. "

Just curious as to why? Especially in light of Softride's recent aero data. If you believe their data, you're definately now riding a slower frame. Was it a fit or comfort issue. Or just wanted a change?

Several reasons. 1. Herbert. 2. Ease of use. 3. Positioning 4. I wanted a full carbon bike if I switched, the Lucero offers that. 5. I love their wetsuits, the Hydrofull is the fastest, most comfortable wetsuit I swam in last year and I tried several other top of the line models. (probably not the best reason to choose a bike company but....) 6. I believe softrides are very aero, but my friends who switched last year saw no drop in speed when riding with a powermeter over the same stretch of roads.

Actually I copied my wife. She got a Lucero before I did and would not let me use it, even though I let her use all my stuff. :-(
