Why?
We have a couple of those at the gym... I've never learned to like them.
maybe she's born with it, maybe it's chlorine
If you're injured and need some sympathy, PM me and I'm very happy to write back.

i just got a landace today only got a half hour on it so far but it works great. Minus a little modification by me to lower the control board which is way the heck to high.

2nd the Woodway. The best built with few problems and fairly easy to maintain and the best treadmill for running. I have managed 15 miles run on the Woodway and usually stop at 7 on other treadmills. Woodways cost a bit more than your average treadmill, though.

x3 on Woodway: solid as a rock, up hill, down hill, fast. I laughed, I cried, a thrill a minute, better than cats, I'd see it again.

For home use, it is hard to go wrong with a Landice. I have almost 3000 miles on mine with no issues whatsoever. Landice treadmills also come with a lifetime warranty provided you purchase from an authorized dealer.

Not a fan of the Woodways. I had heard such great things about them that I was surprised to be so underwhelmed. Didn't like the running surface at all. Much happier running on a much less expensive machine. If money and space were no object, I would buy a top-of-the-line, commercial-level True treadmill - like the ZTX models.
As it was for me, both money and space were considerable objects so I went with a different brand. But I still like the way it feels better than the Woodway.

In my opinion..
1. Woodway (top of the line)
2. Landice (high quality)
3. Pacemaster (economical)

Maybe your just too short, the control board on my Landice is just the right height.

Yeah normally i have that problem at 6 feet.... lol
I just don't like how tall they are, thats my only complaint the bar was right where my hands were unless i stay back on the treadmill and i tend to move forward and back a bit so it wasn't going to work. I just cut 6 inches off the bottom of the side frame and its good now. I actually could probably take another three off but i was having enough fun trying to cut through that aluminum with it eating the blades i didn't want to do anymore.

x4 on Woodway... I have done 20 miles on one and it wasn't horrible I guess though I won't be doing that again any time soon provided the weather cooperates this year for a May mary. Landice is a great product as are PreCore and Life Fitness commercial models, I have access to all of these in addition to a StarTrack and almost always chose WoodWay!

Woodway it is - thanks for the input everyone.
Interesting bit of woodway wisdom and probably inspiration to buy one for you:

- "The name "WOODWAY" is derived from the German "Waldweg" (Wald = Wood and Weg = Way) – the feel of running on a soft pine needle covered path in the forest."
