I am switching from Dura Ace to SRAM Red. Is there any advantage to switching to a particular chain? Thanks for your help.

I use a SHimano Ultegra chain on my Red drive train. I started off with the red chain and I wore that MOFO out in no time. The Ultegra chain is cheaper than the red and lasts much longer.

i use a DA chain on my SRAM drivetrain. i never rode with a SRAM chain but had heard DA was quieter. so that's what i went with and have no complaints.

yes the Shimano chain is quieter...
Recently used a KMC chain on a dura ace drivetrain, and it was amazingly quiet.

At this point, all of my bikes have SRAM shifter and rear derailleurs. 1 has a DA front derailleur. I regularly mix Ultegra, DA, Red and Force/Rival cassettes and chains. I have a KMC chain on 1 bike, too. I see no difference in shifting performance or durability of the cassettes or chains. The Shimano and KMC chains are quieter on all cassettes. All chains seem a little louder on the Red cassettes. I suspect that's because they're hollow.
