Age is a state of mind. But for racing, same AG as Football Mom, Gail, HeyB and my coach.

Is it my biased imagination, or are there a lot of 50-54 yr olds popping on this survey?

49 till next October. But get to race the old guys in 50-54 next year. Was planning to go long and slow next year, but with the new rule my have to try to go short and fast. There's just so many fast 45 and 46 year olds around here. Even tho I never won an award in the first 7 of 20 years doing tris, I kept at it cause it's fun, it just seems like more fun to podium once in a while.

Two things I was always told:

1) Never ask a woman her age.

2) Never, never, never tell her she looks older than she is.

I'd send Ziva some flowers if I was you. :-)

"get to race the old guys in 50-54 next year."

I move into the 55-60 this year. Looking forward to it because those old guys aren't as fast as the youngsters I was racing with in 50-54. Ain't it great getting older (not!!).

Okay, the survey results stands as follows { for now, keep posting }
youngest-18
oldest-58
approximate average- 36, 37, 38
92 people have responded with their ages according to my calculations.

Its interesting to see the age at which people start acknowledging themselves as old, right now 42 is when people deem themsleves "old"

Oh, by the way all you lurkers out there. You have no excuse not to post.

My mom says I turn 40 in 5 days. But USAT says I'll be 41.

Well I've been a lurker here for a while - not sure I had anything to offer. But I couldn't pass this one up.

M58 will be M59 tomorrow

I did my first tri in 1985 and I'm still working at it.
