Less elevation than the old course. Most of the hills are early with the most substantial at mile 12. The last 30 miles are pretty much flat with some rolling hills. Everyone that has ridden it leading says that it is a good route and is faster than last years. I do think there are a few rough RR crossings but I think ironman will have those covered with mats. Should be a FAST swim with all the rain from Florence and will likely be wetsuit legal. Fair bike with a pancake flat, but hot, run.
