What's his last name? There's a Francois Modave listed at the bottom of the results with a DNF. Only have the swim time listed.

thats him. I was worried when I saw that b/c he swims about my speed and it's faster than that.

So its an official DNF now, not just speculation. Like I said...

Darn. That is him. Poor guy. That sucks. We have to be extra nice to him when he comes back. That is really a shame for him. He is a big contributor here and knows his stuff. I like that guy.

what did you say? You spouted off some garbage predictions. You really did not say anything of value other than to let others know you can be an ass at times.

Hey D.F., if you look at ALL the names after the people with finishing times, they are ALL listed as DNF. So, if it's a true DNF, we don't yet know. Or maybe there really are a few hundred DNFs.

Jackass is right.

If you were around earlier this year you may have noticed that Francois signed off ST for a couple of weeks before IM Arizona (before his injury) to avoid negative vibes. If you look at the DNF list today, you will notice it is almost as big as the finisher list.

I guess all those people wasted their entry fees for even trying to complete the race.

I admire anyone who has the guts to show up and try IM, and I hope to be able to give IM a go myself next year.

Totally inappropriate, chriscross. What do you gain by saying that? I don't know Francois at all, but he contributes greatly here and I've learned from his posts. And, he seems like a good guy. But, even if he didn't contribute much and was a jerk, that is still out of bounds.

I'm not usually a proponent of deleting threads, but I'd like to see Slowman make this one disappear. Or at least certain posts in this thread.

Regardless -- or, irregardless as the illiterate say -- it was a stupid f'ing thing to say. I guess it bothers me more than you, to your credit. You're a better man than I am, Gunga Din.

That's rough, Francois, sorry it didn't work out. I'll bet you have a great story for us now, though!

Now I'm sure you're going to be extra motivated to beat up on all of us in Florida. Just my luck...

You're going IM next year Gary? That's great! So I guess the swimming is coming along nicely? What about the stage racing?
