Another "weird" Specialized/Hed Trispoke

Looks like Specialized played with the molding a bit on a 650c Trispoke for Team Motorola:

If you email the seller, he's got a Zip file with close-ups of the wheel, and the depth of the rim is definitely less than any other ones I've seen, like this one:

Just thought it was interesting for my fellow triathletes...especially since it's been reported that the design was deemed too sensitive for certain riders.

I usually notice things like this and I do not recall seeing a Specialized tri spoke that looked like this. But, like many things of this nature, companies try and play with prototypes all of the time (and try to hide them). That one is definitely a gem. I wonder what the guy really wants for it?

...it would be interesting to place this wheel side by side with a 700c version to check the spokes and the inner rim diameter. Very possible that it's a cut down version of the 700c from before the 650 mold was made. They made the 700c version for, I believe, 2 seasons before introducing the 650.
