They sure are, aren't they? 8.5 hours on the clock and the latest update they have is for 3:52 into it! Oh Boy!

Andy will be starting to get into her groove about now, I'm hoping for another update before I go ride in an hour.

Excellent, thanks Karen. I was just looking at the screen names thread. Don't change yours, I think it's cool, a nod to your occupation but interesting enough to intrigue those outside of the industry. Stick with it. I'm hoping to change mine to JulianINVanc in the near future.

Soon Julian, soon you can be JulianINVanc. And... as much as it may rain here, I have yet to be in a more beautiful city on a sunny day than in Vancouver. Plus my advantage is that I was born and raised in YVR so to me the amount of rain that we get is "normal". I don't know any different.

I couldn't do that flat ride, it would play havoc on my back. Also, I need hills to climb ;-)

She'll do fine, I hear her coach is a real sweet chick (Ha)!

Ah but I left her with my quote to deal with the wind so it shouldn't have given her any mental trouble. She's a very tough cookie.

The swim on the other hand looked pretty choppy and I know her swimming is way stronger than the time she posted. I'm eager to hear her take on the day.

I hope she is happy with her run.

Yeah, I remember walking down the Scott Road in the Sun just after the snow on New Year and thinking that I just wanted to ride to the mountains in the distance, just not on THAT road! (Khai would have!)

I'm with you. I may be a lousy hill climber but what goes up must come down. Flat, flat, flat would be mighty tough. But... she knew all of that when she chose this as her IronMan debut race.

Yes Dad. I've got a 12 mile run tomorrow - my first long run in a long time. I know one day the running will return. I miss being a marathon runner.

I'll probably wake up in a few hours just to see that she has finished. I know that she will finish, I just want to see it up on the website.

hear hear - as AP's former (and hopefully some time in the future-if i ever get my 'groove' back) training partner - She is one tough chick and when she decides to do something, nobody better get in her way!

We're so proud of her back home and can't wait to hear all the gory details!
