Awww shucks folks. Sorry I have been largely absent from ST - the new job is keeping me very busy. The new bike is great, although I do not get to ride as much as I would like.

For my birthday, I had a special treat - I finally got my appointment with the endocrinologist (how sad is that). More tests are on order, as she feels there may be a few things going on. One suspect is celiac - inability/reduced ability to absorb minerals and fat-soluble vitamins. She also wants to rule out some much scarier things by getting some muscle enzyme tests done (ALS in particular - yeah - scary shit!) as my muscles have been pretty much in a cramped state for what seems like months now. And to top it off, she thinks my estrogen levels are totally out of whack. I told her that would explain my collection of pink shirts ha ha.

Anyhoo, it will be months before I feel better, if in fact I am only dealing with hypothyroidism. I will be at IMC to watch my friends but NOT to sign up ;-). I will save signing up for another year...

As for the pink shirts, that usually because you put them in the washers with the red towels...

Damn skippy, I start my thyroid pills tomorrow, so after a few weeks I'll either feel better or not. But I'm still doing Houston baby, even if it kills me ;-)
