I sweat. A lot. Currently using an Evade, and the sweat streams down my face into my sunglasses… used a S-works TT helmet once and it was unbearably hot and with a ton of sweat making things generally difficult. Am I a hopeless case for an aero helmet? 70.3 my preferred distance. Usually bike sub 2h30.

I had the same issue but got a dry-fit headband I now throw on under my Giro Aerohead in T1. Adds a second or two but great to keep the sweat out of your eyes for the bike leg. I think the one I have is Pearl Izumi - has always worked well.

I sweat a lot too and use a Halo headband, and it does the trick for short course. It would probably be overwhelmed at the 70.3 distance.

Thanks, will have a look at those suggestions. I am hoping someone can also recommend an aero helmet that has a ton of ventilation that I can use as well.

POC Procen if you can find one.

Seems like hardest thing would be angling it so it runs toward the back of your head, while in the aerobars.

Wow they've really added some SKUs over the last while. The one I have is the Halo II. Yes after a while if you dip your head forward you will get a little cascade of sweat. The gasket basically channels the sweat so it runs down by your temples/ears.
I ran the Aerohead with no visor in 100F 90% humidity at Pan Ams this year and found it to be significantly cooler and more manageable sweat wise than the many other aero helmets Ive run in the past fwiw. The visor may be a touch quicker but heat management is more important.
