I thought I'd add a few. You all should go for a weekend at Xantusia if you get the chance.

Mid morning:

Mike before his run...

Monte's new place...

Mike bribing the locals...

Getting ready for dinner and hanging out at Dan's. Why is he staring at that picture of Johnny Depp??

I'm heartbroken now. I used to live like that every day - camping in beautiful places, nothing on my mind but what rock I was going to climb. Thanks for reminding me. It may be time to rearrange some priorities.

BTW - I received my CompuTrainer last Thursday. It's awesome. Thanks for the incredible hook-up.

Pooks,

Cool pictures. Did you do the "hilly" ride? I'm in for the next trip provided it's not snowing in Mammoth and I'm not reffing next spring.

Mike

PS Why was Dan checking out JD??

Yeah, 3 of us did the climb and predictably, I got bitch-slapped. I need to lose 15 lbs. Oh, that and ride my bike.

Hello,

I was only able to stay Friday PM and Saturday, but I was enamored with the place. If you are ANYWHERE near Xantusia, you HAVE to go. I stayed at Mark's house and he and Claire could not have been a more gracious host to the entire group. The accomodation were perfect although I think next time I'm checking out the cabin.

What's the training like? On our ride Saturday we hit rush hour, two cars and two motorcycles passed us!!! The nicest thing about the ride was riding three abreast, have a car slowly come up on you and then WAVE HELLO as they gingerly go by youin the other lane. Here on the coast, we would of had sh&^ thrown at us.

Again, just go. You will not be disappointed!!

More "ass" pictures? Oh, no. I see. Dan has given these guys a home--some place safe, some place where they always have food and water. Any day with a dog is a good day.

that was only half the dogs in that picture. Some days the dogs eat better than we do ;-)
