I was looking at adding this race to the Fall schedule. $339 before Active fees. Yikes—that feels like a lot more than I have seen for a non-WC race at that distance. Any special reason why it needs to be so pricey?

Probably permits and such. Last year the bike was on the AC Expressway and I can't imagine that's cheap to book. Assuming it is still run by Delmo Sports, it'll be a great event. Their races are always top notch.

Tiered pricing. They're pretty close to full, so you're probably seeing the highest price. It's so expensive for you because it was less expensive for others.
