3 bikes = 3 positions???
I have one bike, thinking of another. Many of you guys have 2,3 OK up to a dozen bikes..but how the heck do you handle the different geometries and positions they put you in? Do you try to get them as close as possible or does your body adapt to the variety. If I put 5k on a tri geo. per year, won't having a road set up affect (or effect?) my muscles enough to result in sore back, knees, more?

Like sex, the same old position can be boring?

Never been a problem to adapt. I ride the tri bike about one short ride a week and exclusively a few days just before a tri. Ride the road bike the rest of the time.

You're over thinking it.
Set each bike up for the conditions in which it is meant to be used.
My seat is lower on my MTB because if I tried to emulate my tri position on that bike, I would be over the handlebars crashing too much.
My road bike is setup to climb and descend and take very long rides in a comfortable position.
My tri bike is setup very aggressive. Haven't had any issues adjusting to the 3 completely different setups and I enjoy the diversity in recruiting different muscles.

Get out and ride and don't over think it. Just my .02.

Brian.
