Unbelievable run, and virtually solo the whole way. Guess he was feeling it today, think this might be one of those records that stands for a decade or more, unless he breaks it again. Don't see anyone on the horizon challenging this run, and by a long way...

This is just amazing, great to see Kipchoge really go for it and lay down the kind of record time that we all knew he's capable of.

Have to agree that this record will stand for a looooong time. I'd be surprised if we even see Kipchoge himself better this mark; he'll be 34 in a couple of months and already has 12 professional marathons to his name (inc. Breaking2), so you have to wonder how many more top-top-top-level performances he has left in him.
