I'm just in the final stages of putting up my "Rolling Thunder" web site. As soon as I can figure out how, I'll post a table with Monday morning dates, weights & consequence. I'll also see about a chart.

I'll only post weights on the web site for those who want me to.

Can it be less than 20lbs? I got weight to lose, but I'm starting at 125lbs. I wanna get to 118. Percentage-wise, that's the same as some peoples 20lbs off of 230. Can I play?

Ok, I don't think I can lose 20 pounds but do have a target goal: down to 185. The weird thing is that I don't know what I weigh now but will guess around 200. My goal isn't too hard, compared to some, but I do need motivation like this so thanks for setting it up!

Height 6'5"
Weight 200?

Goal is 185

Of course you can.

In the spirit of the challenge you might consider the 1lb per week guideline & stop when you've achieved your goal. For fun you can continue to submit your Monday weigh ins as incentive to maintain the weight, or not.

I'm makin' this up as I go along. Keep in mind the challenge is supposed to be fun & motivational.

Throw me up on your website, I'm already on a personal weight loss routine so letting everyone else see it doesn't matter to me.

I'm going to join Ziva - losing 20 lbs would be very bad for me, but I'd like to lose the "freshman 12" I seemed to have gained*. Goal is 114, which is where I was at the start of marathon training in June '05 and is kind of my racing weight.

Female, 5'6, 126 as of Dec 8 and want to be back at 114!!!

*I'd like to blame some of that on some meds I'm taking, but they're not totally at fault!

Hmmmmm punishment? A loooong bike ride, at least 3hrs, because I'm really not a cyclist.

maybe she's born with it, maybe it's chlorine

Oh no! :( I'm not condoning you joining me! You're 18 and have a stress-fracture! :( Your body's talking to you. 5'6 and 126 is a fine weight/height combo, you certainly don't need to lose 12lbs.

Doesn't mean you can't do it if you believe you should, of course :) You know your body best.

Heyyyy Irongirl...doing the Bay huh? Schweet. That's the other thing that Speedy guy has goaded me into...doing the Bay. Been the better part of a decade since my last forray into that race...maybe it's been long enough for me to have forgotten the pain it caused. One way or another me and the Speedy one should be in for that race as well. We'll do the humiliating weigh in there..bring your own scale as proof. Hmm hard to prove the starting point though...gotta take a pic of me on the scale with previously recorded weight on it somehow.

I was much happier at 114-117 ish, and running faster at that weight too. The sfx has nothing to do with weight and a lot more to do with running four double digit mile runs in 4 consecutive days.

You're right that I don't NEED to lose that weight, but I'd like to.
