Again... I haven't read all the threads, but I know one of my problems is what I eat and how much of it. I'm working on the how much, but can someone start a "healthy food/snack" thread to help us ignorant about the bad stuff that's in some of the foods we eat?

OK... gonna have to weigh myself and then establish some sort of reward/punishment. I'm just going by the belt hole standard: two holes over (an inch?) in three years.

I am weak...and afraid to weigh in....might need a week to get my head together and weigh in then. Shifting to nights has been hell on me. Why did someone find the need to invent them?
As a plus...since we only have the one car in our house and my wife needs it tomorrow for a massage appoinmtment after work..and I will have to leave before she gets home...I'll be forced to ride into work. Hopefully I can find my woolies..supposed to be pretty frigid temps tomorrow. Might be the impetus I need to get me doing it on a regular basis...maybe.

Thanks for the good wishes. I guess I feel like I'm as recovered as I ever will be.

Come on Kent!! Get back into this thing! You don't need any more motivation than this group of losers! Step on that scale and deal with the number that appears. Use that as motivation.

When you get off the new night shift put on the running shoes and run for 30 or 40 min. STOP THE WHINING!!!

Ran Saturday in shorts and t-shirt at 5:00 am in 53 degree temps. This morning it was 2 degrees!!! BBrrrr!!

Monday weigh in:

180.8 lbs - holding steady, still eating way too much!!

Good luck all!

What the mind can concieve and believe, it can achieve!

Can anybody join the game? I may be overqualified.

1/1/2006 weight - 284!!!

Height - 6'1"

Weight today - 276. Don't be impressed with the 8lb loss, It's easy to lose at the start. I'll be lucky to drop a pound this week.

Long term goal - 200ish by 2007!
As I expected, week 2 sucked. 278, up 2 pounds. I let work take over too much of my life this week. Three days had no worouts at all, I'm supposed to limit that to 1 day/week according to my resolution.

Todays weight........same as last weeks. Totally not surprised as I have a love of chocolate that I haven't given up yet.

I did do all but 1 workout last week so that's a step up for me! Granted, I missed swimming this morning. Too freaking cold to get out and walk to the y at 5:30am!

This weeks plan is to clean up the eating habits and I should see a change then. IF not, anyone know a good lipo dr?? ha ha

Alright...weigh in this AM was 199 lbs. Back to my pre x-mas weight and going int he right direction...also bagged my brick run on Saturday morning - well, cut it short by 10 minutes and bagged my Sunday AM run due to the frigid temps...figured I'd get it in on Sunday but one thing led to another (lots happening over here) and then had to skip my Masters practice. Either way, still going the right way.

today's weigh in 159, thats not good, going backwards. I'll blame it on the first week at the new job.

Up a touch this week to 185.

But the running has been good.

3 weeks to frozen 1/2 Marathon.

Listen, Lupus, you didn't come into this life just to sit around on a dugout bench, did ya? Now get your ass out there and do the best you can.

Which 1/2 are you doing? When? Where? I'm working my way up to the Peterborough 1/2 Feb. 26th.

Yesterday I did the time, but not the pace. It was "Embarrassingly slow" :-)

Nope! I'm down 2.5 lbs from last week. I have low expectations for this week since I'm heading to a wedding this weekend and can't get a good ride in.
