2005 Silicon Valley Kids Triathlon

The Silicon Valley Triathlon Club's 6th Annual Silicon Valley Kids Triathlon will be held on Sunday, June 5th at De Anza College in Cupertino, CA. The event format will be the same as past years: pool swim, closed-road bike course, and on-track run course. There will be five age-groups from Under-6 to 14 years old. We will have participation medals, T-shirts, goody bags, and age-group awards. Food/fluids and entertainment will be there too.

This is one of the country's premier Kids Triathlons. It is an opportunity for your young athlete to participate in an enjoyable life-experience through athletics. It is not structured as a highly competitive event. Rather, we want it to encourage self-confidence, good health and community spirit through participation.

Based on last year's large registration we are planning for 600 participants for 2005. This event will fill quickly so register early. Registration will begin February 25th. We will have all registration information on the Silicon Valley Triathlon Club web site: http://www.svtriclub.org/. You may register by mail by downloading a form and waiver or you may use Active.com.

The SVTC Board and the Kids Triathlon Committee hopes to see you and your young athlete on June 5th.

The 6th Annual Silicon Valley Kids Triathlon consisting of 564 finishing participants and held at De Anza College was a huge success. The event raised over $1200 for our selected charity the Silicon Valley Children's Fund ( http://www.svcf.org/ ). Over the six years of this event we have raised more than $11,000 for charity.
