Carl, are you gonna lock the 2022 thread, or just let it float off the Front Page on its own?

Just curious, that's all

Speaking of Astana -

Talking about adding Cav PLUS Cees Bol

"... complicated by the fact that Astana have 29 riders under contract and 29 pictured in the press photo, meaning there is only one spot available unless a rider is demoted."

When is Cav gonna put on his LeBron face and make "The Announcement?"

From the list of riders of Astana, Antonio Nibali and Leonardo Basso: are these the sons of?

Antonio is the younger brother. Cool to see him forge on without Nibbles The Elder. Though if Astana is looking to cut a rider to make some space I'd be trying to sneak behind Cees Bol in the team photo, because he seems like a candidate as an aging journeyman.

Leonardo is not related to Ivan The Terrible.

That was some Ali Frazier stuff with down goes Frazier this time. Punch, counterpunch, counterpunch for the TKO.
I think Ali might be getting in Frazier's head going into road season? Wasn't that supposed to be Frazier's track?

Impressive ride by Tim Merlier.

Those guys know how to put on a show.

Saw that MvdP’s back flared on him again, hope it’s not serious.

Amazing how many races they’ve done in the past two weeks. All so quality, as well.

I guess only thing missing from WvA’s season so far is a World Cup victory in a race where MvdP was also a contender.

That MTB crash is gonna hunt him the rest of his career...

Kinda seems that way. Got to be more frustrating than Kevin McCarthy’s week.

Didn’t check the results but that was a pretty small group. Was wondering if maybe they lapped the field and everyone else got pulled.

Big early break. The field let them get away with way too much firepower, nothing they could do to bring them back.

Getting up butt crack early for the ladies is killing me, but so worth it. Masterful display of confidence today.

Men too. The World Cup points race between Sweeck and V-hout has been fun to watch.

You mountain-time/ west coasters are way more trooper on this than I am. I can't fathom waking up at 6:30 (or earlier) to spectate, and all you folks have at least a decade on me as well. Impressively done.

I think the only time I could be arsed for a 6:30 spectating is for De Ronde.

In the winter, on key race days I conduct a media blackout to save the race to make indoor ride more tolerable. Today I made it all the way to 90 minutes. Women’s race was good, and then Wout being Wout.
