Hard to know which MvdP will show up since he's gone into stealth training mode. I wonder if his form took a hit (decline) after the CX World Championship, like Wout.

I love this race, and this week.

For the Women, btw, I will take Puck.

Then Sunday Paris-Nice. Can anyone recall the last time you had TdF 1 and 2 going head to head here? We know Pog is in great form, and it seem like Jonas has been ramping up. They both so competitive in their own way, I can't imagine this is simply a size each other up. JV bringing Foss and Dennis for the TTT, sets up for a great two days in the mountains next weekend.

Monday Tirreno-Adriatico WvA versus MvdP versus Pidcock with some Girmay to play spoiler sport on the lumpy course.

I'd love that, but I think Puck's pick is Yara:

And after all the Fem-storms-road-hype van Empel is not racing?

Too bad, those silly tourists and townies had no clue that they were in the presence of greatness.

First time i’ve seen what appears to be tractor marks on the gravel.

Has everyone noted the odd TTT format they're going with in Paris-Nice? Times taken individually - stage winner is the rider who crosses the line first. Will be interesting to see how teams play it, seems like it will start like a TTT and then become a sprint leadout at the end, just shedding guys until one remains (either your G guy or a guy you've got going for the stage win).

Is that what those are? I thought they were just braking bumps?

It'll be up live. And once it starts live you can start from the beginning at any time, e.g. if you get up "late."

Great picks.

I would love to see Puck take this today for the women. I don't think Kristen can keep the peloton away unfortunately.

MvdP, Pidcock, LFF
Mag Shef, Quinn Simmons

Faulkner might be able to hold this. She was pushing 5 w/kg for 20 at the UAE tour and we know how strong of a TT rider she is. Then again, Kopecky is getting towed in and she is about to explode this.
