'DE' inspired design?
I thought I'd have a tinker with some columbus mega tube Zona steel and came up with the following design, I normally ride an XS trek 5500.

Thoughts???

How tall are you? The measurements on that look like almost exactly what I want.

Am 5ft 7 and half (half is important!) with 29 and half inch inseam.

Feel free to nick the design, it's got about 61-62mm of trail given the head angle with my 50mm rake reynolds ouzo pro which should make it pretty stable.

Am going to run a look ergostem up front until I get the front totally dialled in.

Plus running syntace c2's (inc. 1" riser) with vision tech base bar as I prefer an element of drop from tri bar pad level to brake levers for descending hills.

Regards

David

p.s. cheers for posting the image properly for me.

Any idea what it's going to cost to tack it together?

I paid about 450 bucks for the Zona tubing and my framebuilders time inc. finishing the frame, that excludes any fancy paintwork.

Interesting and thanks for sharing. Do you have any pics of the project so far? Who is your builder? I assume the tubes came pre-cut and are double butted?

I'm going to see the finishing on the frame tomorrow and am taking some pictures, I'll share them.

Frame builder is a friend called James Perkins near Leicester, he's been building frames since he was a nipper (his dad was a frame builder) and has done some great steel frames for me in the past.

WRT tubes, no we had to cut them and mitre them to fit.
