I have been enjoying the posts. I am still wondering why no one mentions the name of the so called LBS when they talk about one. I would love to hear about a LBS that carried the wedges and also measured your feet.

Stainless plate for speedplay. The wedges now have stronger material in them to increase the durability. Also if you ever read Steve Hogg he will tell you as long as you have the correct number of wedges he has never seen the speedplay wedge wear out and this was even before we added stronger materials. It is basically the under use that helps cause an uneven wear.
Be careful with washers. For example the Keo cleats tend to crack easily and uneven pressure can create a crack. Also with Speedplay you need to be careful the cleat is mounted so the surface for the cleat is flat. Often a washer puts extra stress on cleats.
The Cleat wedges come in a box of 8 with extra screws. This is a retail box.
Bike Fitters can purchase them in bulk but need to deal direct with BikeFit.com
Remember a Wedge is a wedge is a wedge. We refer to shims for Leg Length issues. Hence Leg Length Shims.
We carry Cleat Wedges – just added a couple to Dan’s shoes this week.
In the Shoe Wedges – ITS
And
Leg Length shim or LLs

Happy Pedals
