according to the website... http://www.witmovie.com/when.and.where.php

"What It Takes" will debut globally in 2005 or 2006, through 3 possible distribution channels:

* Film festivals (e.g. Sundance, Toronto, or Berlin), and beyond that, to wider theater distribution.
* Serialized for television Given the international nature of Ironman, we expect significant pick-up beyond the United States. Competitors from 88 countries competed in this year¹s Ironman championship, which will be the climax event for the movie¹s story.
* DVDs for end audiences. We expect to market through the USA Triathlon group and local triathlon clubs.

"three possible channels" - well,.... toronto has come and gone, sundance already announced their picks (and they had to be submitted by sept - and this thing wasnt even done filming until october) and it ain't happening in berlin.....

"wider theater distribution." - hahahahahahahahahahaha ...... oh that is a goooooood one.

"Serialized for television" - possible, but they better have a damn good product and I'm talking light years above any tri or road cycling "film" I've ever seen.

DVDs for end audiences. - bingo - expect ads in triathlete magazine if they ever finish the project.

Not being a smart ass, but I've seen about 10,000 of these things come and go - and they all talk a damn big talk. Hopefully this is a good one.
