"vintage" 404's - swapping cassettes
Question for the bike techies: I've borrowed a pair of 2001 Zipp 404's from a friend for the season, including IM Wisconsin. He's currently got a Dura-Ace 9-speed(12/23) cassette on the wheelset. Will I be able to swap this out for a 10-speed HG(11/25)?

While I'm at it, anyone have anything positive or negative to say about the 404's from about the 2001 time period? They don't have dimples! This will be my first use of an aero wheelset, and they look to be in great shape. Thanks!

East to swap cog sets...you wont notice the dimples are or are not there.

What if the Hokey Pokey is what it is all about?

You'll need the spacer for the 10sp cassette. The only issue might be the dust caps on Zipps from that period sometimes would get pushed in over the o-rings on the axles, especially if you packed them in bike boxes. You'll know it when you hear it.
