"commuter" bike shoe
Now that the weather is getting nicer, I plan to use my hybrid do do a lot more biking around town. Cheap miles, but also a lot more fun and a chance to bike with my family. Does anybody make a decent "casual" bike shoe? Something that is SPD compatible, easy to walk around town in, and that looks good with a pair of shorts? Everything I see is either black or grey or a sandal.
Help!

Keen makes a nice version.

It's a heavier than a regular shoe, but it meets your criteria.

Keen or Lake seem to make some decent looking sneaker style shoes that are SPD. I also like the SPD / platform combo pedals for commuting. Really nice for when you just need to jump on the bike and don't want to change your shoes.

And Nashbar has some great prices on shoes, especially this Shimano

put some cheap old fashioned pedals on the bike and wear your sneakers would be the cheaper option. Is it important to you to be clipped in when tooling around on your hybrid?

These are my commuter. Not practical, but way cool.
