Anybody have any experience "grinding down" a lateral meniscus tear with continued activity? If so, how'd that go for you?

Hmmmm,

Don't know about that but I had a bucket handle tear in lateral meniscus. Got it rebuilt, 3 stitches, 2 weeks in a cast, 6 weeks no flexing beyond 90 degrees. Some easy cross training started 4 weeks after surgery. Cycling 2months later, running 3 months after surgery. Now, 5 months after I would say my knee is approaching 90-95% normal state, running is completely painfree and I am starting to slowly ramp up mileage. Good luck!
