i am a recovering shoe slut! (well, i guess the "recovery" part is up for argument, but i'm trying!)

these are the 2nd pair of these clogs, and are last year's deisgn so the shoes were 50% off in 2008. i wear them day and night (my poor husband must be sick of 'em!)

I'm a newcomer to loving great shoes. I used to go around all day in running shoes or flats. Now I love my strappy shoes, boots and everything in between. Most of the time, I'm in these boots in the winter:



For dress, I just bought my first pair of red shoes like these that I love (my husband couldn't believe I bought red high heeled shoes!!):



Now I'm looking for some casual shoes that also look classy. Not really sure what I want.

ok. now how do I post pics? I have a couple of jpegs.

I couldn't find any pictures of my Nancy Drew shoes. I can't even locate a mfr's name on them -- only that they were made in Portugal! But I'll take a picture of them tonight and post them ... if I can learn how to do it. They're not particularly sexy, but I do have the urge to break out into some sort of Riverdance whenever I put them on!

I finally had to throw out a pair of rattlesnake loafers that I had worn to beyond death. They were fabulous; people either loved them or hated them! And the best pair of shoes that I didn't buy: alligator Cole Haan pumps. I tried them on and they fit like they were made for me. I flinched at the price, and I'm still regretting it over ten years later. The worst shoe decision I ever made. I bet they would have lasted forever!

my podiatrist would have a heart attack if I told her I was wearing those shoes! Man this podiatrist's shoes are FUGLY. I wear running shoes to work (with scrubs) so can not justify the $$$ of cute shoes. Saving all the money I don't spend on clothes, shoes, makeup and hair-color to get me a neck lift and eye lift! (and some more veins in my legs zapped)
