Pink running gear for my wife
My wife has decided recently to become a runner and has entered her first 10k with plans to do a half in March of 2010. She wants to look cute and loves the color pink (touches of purple and white are fine too). I want to encourage her to keep it up and think that some cute clothes might help. Any quality good sites for this kind of gear? You would really be helping a husband out. Thanks

try skirt sports http://www.skirtsports.com/

also Nike has some cute pink stuff out...in fact, my Valentine's day gift was a hot pink nike tank & a black, pink & white running skirt.

I don't know if she's the kind of girl who'd want to run in a skirt, not every woman is, but Skirt Sports has some cute stuff. Not all of their bottoms are skirts either. I've only bought a top from them, but I like it.

+1 on Skirt Sports. I love their gear.

Running Skirts has a lot of colors and combinations to choose from. I have a few of their skirts too.

thanks for the input, I have checked these sites out but I am curious on your opinions about spankies or the short tights underneath the skirt?

I have both types. My Skirt Sports skirts have the longer tights (for lack of a better word) underneath them and my runningskirts.com skirts have briefs under them. I have no preference as I like them both equally. There will be less chance of riding up with the longer shorts underneath, and I don't get any chafing with either.

Does that answer your question?

Maybe get her a couple pair and let her choose.

i don't mean to be a downer, but i think you look like a tool wearing skirts while running/exercising/playing tennis.

lululemon has great pink things...

also, i like the built-in underwear in shorts...saves having to wear your own!

ditto on nike, they have some really amazing stuff I just saw for v-day!

For me, and anyone with bigger thighs, the longer shorts are safest otherwise chafing can be an issue.

Running skirts are really cute and for a woman just starting out it can be really fun to wear them. For an "athlete" it is different although I always race in mine. If you can't be good, look good.

Target has some great pink running stuff for women. My wife has recently taken up running and for valentines day I picked up 2 womens pink running tops (1 for her, 1 for me) for a couples 5k run we did together. She thought I was a complete dork, but I could tell she thought it was fun that I'd wear a womens pink top in public for her.

Anyway... check out Target, the stuff is decent and the price is right.
