Does any know if the lever portion of 9 speed speed shifters is the same a the lever portion of 10 speed shifters? Are they interchangeable. It seems lik the clicky parts are in the rest of the shifter and the part that mounts to the HB is the same.

I'm not sure. Just know there is a color difference. You might check Tom Demerley's review of the 9 vs 10 on his bikesport michagen website. He went into great detail comparing & discussing the differences. Barb
The "clicky part" (index gear) is in the lever (the part that you pull). The mount that goes into the end of the bar is the same.
