WTB: HED 3 650 clincher pair
Probably looking closer to the holidays or even late winter/early spring.

Just thought I'd see if anyone was getting new wheels for Christmas and might want to sell me their old pair :-)

How the hell did you make LEW's with AMC hubs weigh 1200g in 650c? Mine are a bit under 1000.

Chris-

You could well be right that they are only 1000g. I went off what I'd read a while back as their spec, which may well have been on 700c. I do know they are silly light and I dig 'em.

1200g is usually the weight for 700c and White Industries hubs.

Depending on your rims (Palermo or Sydney) and year of AMC hubs, you could be considerable lighter than that.

I've weighed 6 bare (but drilled) Sydney's at ~289 average, and over 60 Palermos at ~313.

Sort of. There was an all-carbon clincher being perfected at the time when Reynolds was purchasing them. There may be a few sets of those around. They were called "Atlanta" I believe.
