I have never had a problem during triathlons or TT

Tri rules state: 5.12 Untraditional or Unusual Bicycle Equipment. Any unusual bicycle construction or equipment to which the specifications in Section 5.11 cannot easily be applied shall be illegal unless prior approval is received from the Head Referee before the equipment is used in the event. Any violation of this Section shall result in disqualification. John Cobb told me "Using a single sided fork should not be a problem in Triathlons. Only the UCI Triathlons and Euro Road racing would be a problem.

That shifting is Mavic Mektronic electronic shifting, no cables! I've always wanted a set just in case my internal cabling goes bad.
