how accurate is the distance/pace vs a garmin? what kind of battery life do you get?

Thanks for the inquiry. When I tested it (as part of the set up on the track), it was pretty accurate. It's not as accurate as a gps, but that's part of the trade off. (Of course, you'd still need a foot pod with a gps watch to use it indoors on a treadmill anyway.) The battery life is very good.
