FS: Cervelo P2 (not P2K) frameset + (price drop again)

This is the frame that put Cervelo on the map....their first production TT/Tri frameset. This example is a size 58, with a 58cm top tube(c-c) and 78degree seat angle. Refinished in 2003 it was painted white with a gold pearl top coat and new decals (slight scratches in clearcoat on top tube from transport will probably buff out). I will sell the frame/fork/Chris King headset/Ultegra bottom bracket/ seatpost/ and the PAIR of Hooker brakes (beautiful and impossible to find) for $650 plus shipping. $500 without the Hooker brakes. I've got wheels, too, for additional cost. This frame uses 650c wheels. Will also trade the frameset with brakes for a 700c rear Hed 3C, HED 3D, HED Stinger 90, or Zipp 808.

I think I saw a pic of you on this bike at hawaii last year on the cervelo website? How come you're selling it? I like it better than the brand new p2-sl I've got now for sure!

Yeah, that was me. I keep asking myself why I'm selling it, too, but I guess the main reason is that I'm doing most of my riding on a carbon road bike these days and I'm building up a new tri bike (BMC TT02) this winter. This aging body is starting to appreciate comfort more and more these days and the carbon ride of the road bike got me spoiled. The P2 is a beautiful bike and a fast, responsive ride but I've got to make some room for the new bike and the cash will help me finish it. I doubt I'll be riding the P2 much after IMF and I hate to just let it collect dust. I also owned the yellow Hooker that Dan featured in a Slowtwitch article and sold it a while back for the same reason. Wish I had more room and more time to ride. Then I'd keep everything.

I'm thinking about powdercoating my P2K, how did you get the new Cervelo decals after you painted yours?

my painter handles it. I think he had them, in fact.He had a file cabinet full of decals from different manufacturers. Painted bikes for a living for a long time.

Damn Andrew, you've got all the neat toys... Aren't you the same one I bought the ti frame from last year (or I guess it was early this year)?

That P2 is one sweet ride. Wish I had the cash to pick it up (not that it would fit...).

I don't think that was me....I sold a black Litespeed Blade, but that was about 3 years ago. C'mon....somebody step up. I'll even go $550 without the Hooker brakes, but then you've got extra holes in the frame.

My wife's little Felt uses 650 wheels, so I'm keeping the disk for her.

I would seriously consider it if I didn't need a midget size (54). I used to have one of those, and I really regret selling it.
