Canon EF28-300mm F3.5-5.6L IS USM lens:
-comes with padded carry case, strap, manual, lens hood, tripod mount, and lens of course!
-I'm selling this for my dad who keeps his gear in top condition. This lens is in excellent condition and could easily be brand new. The reason he's selling it is because he bought an even more expensive lens so he doesn't need this one any more.

Interested in the shifters, what model number are they, 5600 or 5700? I am looking for a set of the 5700's with the internal cable routing.

They're 5600. They have the externally routed cables.

Why the switch? I took the 100-400 to Africa and love it, but since I only use it sparingly anyway the range of 28-300 seems like it would be great.

I'm not quite sure, it was my dad's decision. I told him to keep both! But he has a ton of other lenses and it is pretty heavy to lug around all day as I found out first hand when walking around in China.
