Hello

I'm looking for a new P3C size 58, would be happy with a stock bike would be ecstatic with a chorus buildup. LBS said august for bike, sept for frameset.

Thanks,

Eric

Same thing happened to me. I am using the wait-time as incentive to train my butt off so I am ready for the bike... must be able to go sub-58 on a P3C-58 or I'd be foolish to spend that kind of money... also want to ride the Lotus so the wait isn't so bad but anyway...

You could call austin tricyclist. I bet they have two in 58cm. If you do call Austin... ask to speak to Kirk and tell him that Buck says to train harder because 2008 is just under 900 days away.

" I bet they have two in 58cm " - hey, how did you know our inventory? We actually multiple bikes in every size.

We don't let Kirk answer the phone yet. As the shop rookie, he's busy changing MTB flats and washing bikes. He has been training like a MoFo though. His eyes seem to be on the prize. There is a cool mountain time trial coming up this Sunday ( www.kingofjester.com ), we are going to put Kirk on a 13 pound R3 and see what he can do. Look out for Kirk Winters .... ATC's own Olympic track hopeful.

Thanks,

And with that smell of desperation, the bike will cost $10000 ;)

" And with that smell of desperation, the bike will cost $10000 ;) " - Great, and I promise to beat Mucas's suggest retail price by at least 10%

If I was building a P3C, I would use Vision carbon R-bends, Cane Creek carbon or Vision brakes, keep the E-brake calipers (DA brakes are expensive and don't make you go any faster), 177.5 DA or FSA cranks, Vision or Profile T2 base bar (I don't like most of the one piece systems), and at least 2 inches of spacers!

the e-brakes don't make you faster, but IMO Dura Ace will "stop" you faster! He-he!

And are you kidding about spacers? I think you are :-)

I have some spacers on my P3 because of an injury and it looks like crud. I can't wait till I can get rid of some or most of them. It may be a while though. I know the ST crowd would kill me if they saw the spacers. But you gotta consider the rider before you crucify the rider for having spacers. Numerous reasons why they may be there.

Hello-

There is a posting on page 2 right now . . . "March Madness at Trizilla". They claim to have 58cm P3C build with DA10 and Zipp 909 for $5400. I have no idea if this is a good deal or just average.

Hello

I just spoke with Don the owner of Austin Tri-Cyclist and he is building me a bike. I would have to say that Don understands customer service, so far I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The bike is being built and will be shipped in a bike shipping container:

Specs:

Cervelo P3C size 58 standard build except:
1. FSA SLK MegaExpo compact crank w/BB 175mm
2. Campy chorus compact front derailleur
3. Campy chorus rear derailleur
4. Campy chorus 11-23 cassette
5. Wipperman Connectx 10X1 stainless chain
6. Visiontech pro carbon r-bend aerobars
7. Visiontech 100mm stem
8. Salle Italia SLR gel flow saddle
9. Cane creek carbon break levers
10. Campy bar end shifters
11. American Classic 420 bladed in black(will use for road racing), aero TT wheels to come
12. Michelin Pro2 race tires
13. Trico sports ironcase

Priced very very well for a bike of this level with customizations.

Should have it in a little over a week, will let you know how it rides. At this point I would have to give them my highest recommendation for a bike store.

$5195 for the modified build including a bike case and shipping to California (wait, my brother is in Cali, Eric is Ohio I think).

Thankyou for the kind words ejchet (people seem to like me better over the phone).

Did I say next week? I thought we discussed how hard it is to get a 58 P3C and we were looking at June (was that Half in May?). That $5000 deposit has you in my top 5 (with a bullet) on my wait list though!

Man, this internet thing is killer! I think it has a future. I'm talking to Eric on one line, meanwhile, someone is on the other line wanting to know if he's a 54 or 56 and when can he get it. All because I post a few pictures of pretty bikes and reveal my opinion on the great spacer debate (I'm all for them). Thanks, DCR

Hello

Do you have a link to this exact case? I thought a case which was padded would help protect the bike, that was the thought process at least.

Thanks,

Eric

spendy but I have never hurt a bike with one....

and I get the pro2 model so I can travel with road and tt, or road and wife's road, or road and race wheels or road and rest of luggage inside case....

they are slick with an AL rail on the bottom, front fork mount and bb holder.

" Hey Don, when you joke, always use a :-) face " - sorry about that. Wry/dry humour doesn't tranmit well over the internet and I never have figured out how to make that symbol. I'm probably not going to incorporate the symbol but do be on the look-out for the dry rye.

We ordered the parts that we didn't have in-house today and will be working on the build next week.

That was Bianchi green celeste bartape that we finalized on, right? (Did I get you that time?)

Celeste bar tape oh my that would look bad. To bad that saddle doesn't come it red. need to find a way to tell it apart from all the other p3c's in the races.

and no pink paint won't work....

Fizik makes nice, all red saddles. I use the Alliante on my tri bike. Serfas Terrazo is also a nice option in red.

Red saddles look great on P3Carbons I think.

Island Triathlon & Bike 808 732 7227

or email islandtri@gmail.com and but "attention Nguyen looking for a P3C 58cm" in the subject line to get Nguyen's (the manager) attention. You can drop my name (Tai) and that might help. Shipping from Hawaii btw isn't all that bad.

If you're still looking, the LBS here has every size P3C in stock, including 3 58's - two built and one frame & fork to build however you want. The 58 is my size, so I know their stock status :-)

Seriously, multiple units of every size. Cupertino Bike Shop. They don't have online shopping, but you can give them a call Tuesday thru Saturday at 408-255-2217. Owner's name is Vance, but I'm sure anyone there can help you out.
