Do you use deep rims, and if yes, were you able to find a TPU tube with either a really long valve, or one that is removable to add an extender?

Also, would you always try using the dynaplug first, and then the tube if it doesn't work?

Thx!

I don't have a rim deeper than 60, a tubolito will work with it. I always try to plug first.

Forgot to mention I always carry a park tool tire boot also.

Why would you need a removable valve in order to add an extender?

I assume he's talking about this kind of extender. Much preferable, IMO, to the kind that threads over the core. Super annoying to have a sticky core deep inside your wheel.

Though for a flat kit, I'd pre-thread this into the tube so you don't have to worry about it on the side of the road.

Correct. I suppose I could use a thread over type though....

It's 2024, I don't know why anyone would use thread over extenders.

They're super handy to have in a flat kit when you inevitably ride with someone who has deep wheels and short valves. Other than that, totally agree

Given the size of the small rechargeable battery pump, I've been carrying it over the CO2 cartridges. They are good for 2 tires (30mm to 80psi max), and charges up in 20 mins.

In addition, I carry the Dynaplug, and a spare TPU tube with long valve stem.

Why, when a long stem tube is readily available?

Which TPU tube did you find with a long valve? My deepest wheel is 75mm...

Just curious
Do you use find the don't leak? In the past it was recommended to use the white teflon plumber's tape to prevent that.
If carrying one for use with a shorter if having to replace with a tube while out riding would you do the same.

You can make them not leak. But the effort required is one of the reasons I don't like them. The internal valve core threading is designed to hold pressure. The external valve cap threading is designed to hold on a useless little piece of plastic.
