Looking for a (new) DT Swiss Disc Wheel in Europe
Quote | Reply
New frame about to arrive next week, and desperately trying to find a (new) ARC 1110 Disc Rear (for disc brakes obv)

DT Swiss mentions that they won´t be stocking local distributors until end of Juli, and I have race now late May and in June ...

Only this wheel has my interest! Any help on this much appreciated, webshop, LBS that will ship, anything really - even a decent 2nd hand would be a help.

Thanks a lot

Local (to me) shop in Switzerland: https://stcycling.ch/...m-7613052372938.html

Allegedly also the following shop has 1 in stock, but you'd need to contact them: https://www.schaller-radrennsport-shop.ch

Private seller: https://www.kleinanzeigen.de/.../2751941388-217-4315

Danke Sehr Michal! Not sure the Swiss shop is good if customs and stuff needs to work out in my favor :) I am in Spain BTW

EDIT: STCycling does not ship to Spain - let´s see :)

But thanks for taking your time to respond

I dare you to compare the specs of the 1100 and this wheel that looks to be in stock at the moment.

I can’t confirm or deny, but I believe they are. I bought one two years ago and it even came in a DT Swiss box 😀. Here’s that thread where I was choosing between it others.

Thanks! They would be made in the same mold and same materials, same DT Swiss Hub :) My other race wheels are DT Swiss branded and believe there MUST be a DT Swiss wheel out there for me!

Thanks anyway!

I led you to water but you're obviously going to do whatever you want. Even if you can find one in stock, the same wheel for 50% more for just for a sticker is the definition of a slowtwitcher. Even your other DT Swiss race wheels advertise the collaboration, it seems like a great pairing to me for something available and cheaper.

Thanks, but you did not lead me to any relevant water.
I was very specific on which wheel I am looking for. There indeed are other, specific reasons why I need a DT Swiss wheel, rather than just a sticker and the build quality.
Hint: I am not paying for this wheel myself

Further, the DT Swiss Wheel is retailing in Europe around 2000-2100 EUR, and my LBS tells me 1800 EUR (cost price), whereas the Swiss Side wheel is 2300 EUR, so dunno where you get your 50% from?

I appreciate your help. Thanks you
Proud Slowtwitcher since 2008 😊
