Posted, somewhere back there. Filmed in Johnstown, PA and the old Cambria County War Memorial Rink. Before the Chiefs there was the Johnstown Jets.

Bruce Boudreau was an extra. I haven't been able to spot him.

I can’t believe All Stars hasn’t been mentioned yet 🤣 most realistic youth sports flick I’ve seen.

Can't believe I forgot to mention Vision Quest - excellent choice.

Also can't believe there's no love out there for North Dallas 40. Makes me sad.....for y'all.

I have reviewed all the replies, and I cannot believe that Brian's Song hasn't received a single mention.

It should have been the first answer, and the thread ended at that point.

Chariots of Fire is a line from a William Blake poem. So it seems fitting for the movie.

Rewatch it. It’s not as good a movie as you remember. I rewatched it a few years ago with my son and it was overly sappy, boring at times, and Caan’s performance isn’t as good as everyone remembered. Field of Dreams carries a far heavier emotional impact, IMO, because Costner and Jones are just better actors than Caan and Williams.

I would categorize Brian’s Song as more of a buddies movie rather than a sports movie. Football just happens to be part of it.
