Had a look at the details of that race, seems legit. I actually did the LV marathon back in 1993, but that one was in February I think. It looks like maybe rock and roll took that date and this old legacy race was left with October. Could be pretty hot then, or could be just right, hit and miss that time of year. February was always guaranteed to be cool.

And of course the actual course has changed a lot since I did it, was a point to point back in my day, and a pretty hilly race too. If it fits your schedule while on vacation, I say go for it!!!

We’re also thinking about Long Beach marathon in the same date. I thought should be great for my wife to finish her first full distance during the first visit in US :)
