They still use pins?!
I in one of mine used two quick links. Worked fine.
If they’re competent in pinned chains then it’s likely fine.

It’s a bike shop and they do that all day long. Adding links is not a big deal at all. You will be just fine.

If you're a little guy like me, sure. I've done it many times but now I'd just get another master/removable link.
