Best transition bag?

What's the best transition bag out there?

The Roka one was absolutely fantastics but it is discontinued.

Ideally, I'm looking for one with a computer sleeve so that I can use it as an everyday bag.

I really like https://pedalindustries.com/...iathlon-raceday-bags™/products/all-primary-triathlon-specific-raceday-bag?variant=43905709113579

I have a custom team one and it’s been fantastic. I have large shoes (15wide) and can fit everything except my TT helmet. Makes it easy to prep and keep organized.

Wouldn’t be ideal for an everyday bag unless you carry a lot of stuff. The panel that rests on your back has a sleeve/zip pocket for your wetsuit that could double as a computer sleeve, but you’d have a whole lotta unneeded bag for everyday use

I have never quite found the transition bags to be really suitable to be used as an everyday bag as they tend to be pretty big. I also like to leave mine with the smaller things I need for race day etc in it, rather than having to remember to grab them for each race. Just things like a new, spare pair of googles, anti-fog, a few race belts, rubber bands, spare CO2, powder, lube etc.
If you need some options....here are a few I have used in recent times. I like the HUUB and the 2XU, the HUUB would not be great as an everyday backpack though.

Desoto makes a good bag. great for general travel, as well. seem to last forever.

I disagree. My desoto lasted 2 seasons. The panels started ripping apart from the seams. I had to repair it myself. I’m still using it, but only because I don’t want to drop money on another bag. There are better options, IMO. My wife has had the same Ogio for years, and it’s shown no sign of wear.

I cannot peak to the best but I use the Zoot Kona bag and love it.

Zoot has two backpacks that have laptop compartments.

I prefer their Ultra Tri bag though and only use it for triathlon. No laptop compartment although you certainly could carry with it.

Very well situated for tri with a helmet compartment, I stick my run/bike shoes in the wetsuit area, run belt, gels, etc in the other pockets.

blueseventy is my favorite so far. Has a mesh sleeve in the back that could theoretically hold a laptop. I liked my Desoto, until the zipper seams blew. BS bag is going on 7 years, no sign of wear other than some corrosion on the zippers from salt water - easily fixed with vinegar and a toothbrush.

I've used many - De-Soto, 2XU, Zoot, B70...

I finally came to the conclusion that they are all a pain in the ass with hall of their compartments, etc.

I find the best is a re-usable grocery bag. Put everything I need for bike/transition in it. When I get to transition to set up, I know the bag needs to be empty for me to not have forgotten to put something on my bike. No digging through some convoluted backpack.

As for everyday bag, yeah, way too 'technical' for that too. Just buy yourself a plain backpack or use one of the free ones they give you at IM registration.

This. I have been using a large grocery bag for the last three years, and it just ripped Augusta 2 weeks ago. Folds up nice too so it doesn't crowd the transition space.
