With disc breaks taking over the market, it occurs to me that it is a good time to consider upgrading my rim break clincher wheels.
I ride a Felt AR5 road bike and Scott Plasma 5 tri bike. The "best" wheelset I have are some old Flo 60s. No complaints about them, but wondering if picking up some higher end wheels from the last generation might be a good thing.
But I have been out of the game for a while, so here is my question: what are some of the best wheels I should be considering from the last generation of rim break clinchers? I would prefer something I can train on, too, so probably not interested in a rear disc (maybe in a year or two).
Will I even see a benefit compared to the Flo 60s?
Anyway, I feel there must be deals now or in the future for last generation rim break wheels, and it feels like an opportunity to pick up some very high quality engineering at a reasonable price.
