Clash Daytona/Miami- No pro races

Looks like Clash has cut the pro races at both events. Bummer as those were great late/early season races with excellent broadcast quality.

Real unfortunate. Looks like Indian Wells just became the winter half distance world championship.

They still are great late/early season races! Daytona is a blast and adding some fun additions. All in it should be close to 4,000 athletes and we are focusing our resources on making this a true National Championship level event for the age groupers and their families. We are proud to have been designated the 2023 USAT Long Course National Championship!

MIAMI

- Redline Relay Bike Race

Sunday
- "Miami Distance" triathlon/duathlon/aquabike. 1mi swim, 30mi bike, 8mi run
- Test Track recreational open bike ride on the speedway

The distance was changed from middle distance as we are early in the season March 8-10, 2024 and we had feedback from athletes that it was a bit soon for that distance. This hybrid distance 1/30/8mi works great with the venue and allows athletes a great chance to test their early season fitness, longer than Oly distance.

We did a cool piece on the Miami race from this March and let the pros tell their stories. Great material for the trainer, jump to the 34:00 mark to get the feels from Jason West

We're not the biggest event around, not a big event company, just trying to put on quality/fun events that athlete's and their families can enjoy and we can be proud of.

How does one qualify for USAT Long Course Nationals?

There is no qualification for Long Course Nationals. It is similar to the Multisport Nationals where you can register for any of the races. Age Group Nationals (Sprint and Olympic) is where you must qualify.

Oof that's a real bummer, I've enjoyed watching those pro races and usually have had great fields with some up and comers.

Pity, Ironman now has almost complete dominance in N America, from a pro racing perspective.

Stoked for this! We are bringing a crew down from West Michigan and will be using Tri Bike Transport to get the bikes down there if anyone is interested in joining us!

Trying to figure out if we can add my kids (and mine) favorite triathlon from the Disney movie Luca. The "real Italian triathlon" consists of swimming, cycling, and eating pasta. Would we have any takers?
