I've heard a rumor that the front end with the gel mashes down rather easily, as opposed to, say, an Azoto which does not have gel but keeps it's shape pretty well long-term. Is that the case with yours? If not, I may be interested.

hmmm, i actually thought quite opposite. i think the front end is quite stiff. if you mean over the course of thousands of miles will the front end lose its shape i have no idea but selle italia makes good saddles so i doubt it will lose its integrity. I'm not familiar with the saddle you referenced but this saddle definitely does not have a "mushy" front end so to speak.
