Train IM Wisconsin bike course for France?
I have few hills to train on near me (Northwest Indiana) but I can drive 3 hrs over to Wisconsin to practice some hill training there. Will that be enough to get my legs ready for France? My plan was to find the right hill with enough elevation and distance to ride up and back down over and over again (any suggestions?) Or do I just stick to indoor rides on Trainer Road?
*for the record I'm 5'11' and 210 lbs so I'm kinda heavy (not all fat) to begin with.

I think it sounds like a good idea. When is your race? Obviously TR and hill repeats are good, but if you can get a continuous ride that is fairly local that is probably what I would do.

You can go to Wisconsin every now and then but driving through the city or even around might be difficult in one if not both directions.

The only thing you’re getting by going to Wisconsin is riding outdoors. You don’t need hills just extended time at a higher power output if that’s your goal. Even TR can give you that.
