It comes with everything in the box, which does include the manual. It worked well for me, but now that I am sponsored by Timex, I use their GPS. The Garmin has a good battery life, nice display, and lots of features. It's also really nice as a "navigation" type GPS (the big display has room for a map and breadcrumb trail).
