Rx815 as ultegra replacement
On my giant trinity I have ultegra 6870 di2 rear derailleur. The shifting works good but feels a bit slow in comparison with the 8050 derailleur on my cervelo. When I push the button on the cervelo it feels like a solid shift.

Because the 8050 rear derailleur is hard to get and a rx815 is on sale for 150 dollar I am looking for that as a replacement.

Will that be a good one or should I wait when the 8050 is on stock ?

The 6800 series rear derailleur is mechanical.

11-28. Minimum is 30 teeth. So that is not much a difference

I use RX815 for road riding with an 11-30 cassette.
I just leave the clutch off.
Don't even notice the difference between it and the 9150 on my other bike.
If you do a really hilly course, you can always use an 11-34 cassette too.

I have used the same RX815 on my old Shiv and current PRFive. It has been paired up with the ST6871 on the bullhorns and both the R671 and R9160 on the extensions without any issues.

I run it on a 11-34t with a 52t 1x chainring setup and with the clutch always on.

The only very slight shift difference I find compared to my R8050 on my roadies is that there is a slight pause when it shifts from up from the 30-34t cassette.

Oh…also if I back pedal on the 34t, the chain will drop back to the 30t. But that’s more of a 1x chainline issue then a shifting issue, and hasn’t cause me any problem as I almost nvr backpedal.
