Yes. Maurten had something about it on their website a while back but said it was a temporary issue they are working through. Not sure what the issue was though.

From my understanding Maurten products have never actually be legal in Canada, and it has nothing to do with the caffeine. Canadian rules around nutritional products require that they are produced in Health Canada accredited facilities (these don't have to necessarily be in Canada, but they do need to be accredited to comply with Canada's guidelines or stricter), which is a fairly extensive and not inexpensive process that manufacturers have to undertake and maintain to be able to sell legally in Canada. Lacking that, there are plenty of Canadian retailers getting their products from US based distributers and selling them in their stores, but they are technically not legal for sale in Canada.
