I think the first 'mud' year was 2014 as I did the race in 11, 12, 13 and 14 and vowed to never come back because of the mud.

I think maybe I have cursed us all as I am back and it has been chucking down all day (and last night). Big swell coming tomorrow so things look tenuous for the race even coming off with all this weather.
