Poorly Maintained Cervelo P5 Bars
Looking for some recommendations/assistance, please, ill-maintained P5 bars, extensions stuck/fused in the riser sockets. Attempting to separate the riser from the extensions, they have been mildly heated, frozen and soaked, no happiness.
How best to remove the extensions from the risers please?
1.) Cut extensions, go in with a narrow Sawzall blade, split the remains of the extensions and peal the left overs out with Visegrips.
2.) Cut the extensions, go in with a reamer and ream/clean out the soft extension remains from the sockets.
3.) Any good ideas or past experience with this issue? The Aluminum extension are quite soft, twisting them with any leverage will likely only collapse/fold the extensions.
