Ding! DIng! Ding!

Well done

I dunno how Rundgren got in as well? I thought they only do five at a time?

the main point is he got in. as he should have years ago. and monty was right. no jethro tull? no joe cocker? i have heard it said that joe cocker is not in because he didn't write his own music. you know, which is the reason elvis never made it in.

Todd Rundgren was the producer and lead guitarist on the ''Bat Out of Hell'' album, the album that saved rock & roll from the likes of Fleetwood Mac and Jackson Brown. That should be enough right there!

If Brian Wilson or Brian Eno had been from Philly, they'd be Todd Rundgren

Unfortunately, he also made that garbage "Bang On My Drum All Day" tune which is a Monday morning/Friday afternoon staple on crappy commercial radio stations

-5 points there

I get your tongue in cheek post but as a serious aside, and as I mentioned in my OP, Rundgren was nominated as a performer and not as a producer. I’d have no issues with him getting in as a producer. I think the HoF is a huge stretch for him as a performer. Having a couple hit songs, that really aren’t all that great, is not worthy. I don’t get a vote though.

If his first words when he takes the podium are NOT "Hello, it's me" I will be greatly disappointed
